Scottdale Concert Band A community band serving the Pennsylvania Fay-West area |
| The
Scottdale Concert Band was formed in the spring of 1981 to provide the
community with musical services at all levels and as an outlet for citizens
who wish to participate in band music. We have received tremendous support
from the Town of
Scottdale, the
Scottdale Bank & Trust, and several other organizations. There are
currently no fees or auditions. Rehearsals are every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9:00 at the Christ United Methodist Church on Market Street, Scottdale. Our season runs year round as the band prepares for performances at the Scottdale Heritage Festival in September, several Christmas concerts, and for Scottdale Community Days at Idewild Park in Ligonier on Father's Day. Band members include a wide variety of people - high school students, music teachers, accountants, ministers, computer professionals, you name it! Every level of musician is welcome to come and join us. Why not dust off that old instrument case and come out some Tuesday night? |
